In my early 20s, I battled with frustrating skin problems that seemed never-ending. From stubborn acne to stubborn hyperpigmentation, I tried countless products with little success. It wasn’t until I sought help from a dermatologist that my skin finally started to improve. The dermatologist prescribed a few powerful actives, but there was one crucial piece of advice that stuck with me – I needed to wear sunscreen to protect my skin.

This encounter got me thinking about the lack of awareness and education surrounding sun protection in India, particularly for people of color. I realized that there was a scarcity of products specifically designed to meet our unique needs. In India, many people shy away from sunscreen because of the unpleasant white cast it leaves and the discomfort it can cause. I wanted to change that narrative by creating a brand that was not only people of color friendly but also scientifically formulated and cosmetically elegant. And so, Barely Sunny was born.

After two years of relentless research and development, I am proud to announce that Barely Sunny has finally made its way into the market. We have launched with three incredible products that cater to diverse skin tones and types. Our aim is to provide effective sun protection solutions that everyone can embrace with confidence, without the worry of a noticeable white cast or discomfort.
